Common has been working on his next album reportedly without super producer Kanye West because Ye has been busy with his Glow In The Dark Tour. Common has opted to enlist the aid of The Neptunes, Outkast Producer Mr. DJ & Cee-Lo for his new EP Invincible Summer set for to be released this summer. Comm is reportedly looking to create a New elctro sound for the album. But hasn’t common already done this before with the Electric Circus? Which if I remember correctly, was common’s least well received albums and a commercial failure by most standards…Looks like Common doesn’t know when to let a bad idea go! Honestly, I kinda like that he's going to take another stab at it.
Theres a whole new audience/lifestyle now, and with artist like M.I.A and Santogold doing well in that field, it's a 50/50 chance he might sell.

i agree w/ crys.c about MIA and Santogold. but im torn b/c i knew of and loved MIA and Santogold before they became hella trendy! and that leads me to common... is he doing this "electro" sound b/c this is what is in right now? or will his album be perceived as "innovative?"
Aren't you kind of being hard on Common? He made music for the public for his last two albums and now he's going back to what he wants to do. Now instead of being in American Gangster or Street Kingz, he can be in Michel Gondry flicks and provide Lupe Fiasco's biggest fans with some hope for the future.
