Lil Wayne On ESPN's Around The Horn
Why do obviously uncool white people try to be cool when they get around black people and end up just embarrassing both of them??
Weezy F. Pain (Undisputed Auto-Tune Champion of the World) was on Around The Horn, a fast paced sports talk show on ESPN earlier today. During the show the 2 white panelist kept trying to throw in hip hop phrases and references with their responses to sports questions, failing miserable and creating multiple awkward silent moments. As the segment came to a close (2:10 into the video) in the ultimate showing of utter lameness panelist Woody Paige did what all your drunk white friends do to try to show that they're down and hip, yes people HE STARTED RAPPING, mind you Woody is pushing 63!! Old ass Woody Paige was rapping!! Easily providing the most embarrassing TV moment of the recently blogger coined "post-race era".
But I don't fault Woody Paige at all, busting out in spontaneous raps is a natural Caucasian neuro-response to blackness, especially perceived cool blackness at that. The second your white friends and or coworkers start to perceive you as cool, one of them (the brave one) will inevitably start rapping to you and expressing to you how much they love whatever rapper is hot on Top 40 radio at the time, it might be at a office party or in the car on the way to the club or at a bar in hermosa but it will happen. All you can do is pray the song they pick doesn't have the N-word in it because if it does they will NOT omit the word and that can lead to conversation no one looks forward to. But if you let that N-bomb slide I can guarantee that wont be the last time they drop it in your presence.

Lamar Odom High In Post Game Interview?
Fast forward 2 minutes into the video and watch Lamar Odom's interview. Is it just me or was Lamar Odom high as hell in the post game interview??? His eyes were hella red and he kept saying the word focus over and over again, then he said some funny shit to the interviewer chick and walked off...That's some high nigga shit If I ever seen it, rambling on and on repeating his self. (Trust me I know)
Lamar has been playing lights out basketball as of late and the mary jane may be whats triggering the recent improvement in his game (a new found focus...weed is good for that). This has been the best stretch of Odom's career as of late and its been right when the Lakers' needed him to step up the most. He's played big on the big stages, @ Boston and @ Cleveland both likely NBA Finals opponents.
If Odom is Popeye and mary jane is his spinach, then I say "Odom keep on tokin that pineapple express!", because he's averaging 20 and 10 over the past 3 games almost double his season average (10 and 6)! And finally starting to play aggressive down the stretch and attack the basket.
So Kudos to Odom and his green thumb.

Melvin Manoef vs Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos - Cage Rage 15
I been a Melvin Manoef fan since I first saw his highlight reel of KO's on Youtube (earlier this year) and dude doesn't dissappoint. Here's a vidoe I came across recently of one of his most famous fights. Personally, I just cant wait till UFC offers him a contract so I can see him agianst stiffer competition because Melvin is a beast and I love to see him agianst some top fighters.

My Super Bowl Pick From The AFC
I'm documenting this just so I can reserve the right to say "I told you so" at the end of the season...I'm picking the San Diego Chargers to come out of the AFC and go to the Super Bowl. Here's my reasons why:
1. They finally proved they could get the monkey off their back by beating the last AFC team to win the Super Bowl The Indianapolis Colts.
2. They have been elimated by the Patriots in the playoffs 2 times in a row (just like the Colts before they won the title in 2006) and this will be the year they find away to beat the Pats in the playoffs and go all the way (just like the Colts in 2006). Last year they were a few injurys, namely LaDainian Tomlinson & Phillip Rivers away from beating the Patriots. They picked off Brady 3 times, and beat the Patriots up all game. But without Tomlinson and a healthy Rivers the Chargers were unable to muster up enough points to upset the Patriots. But this year will be different because....
3. The Chargers young defense will be even better this year and they were spectacular last year. They were 5th in the league with 42 sacks, and led the league in picks with 20 including 6 in the playoffs led by 2nd year sensation Antonio Cromartie who led the league with 10. While The Chargers offense should be healthy for the playoffs this times around.....
4. On other side the Chargers main road block the New England Patriots get worse. They lose Donte' Stallworth a key offensive player, as well as several starters on defense including Pro-Bowl CB Asante Samuel who bolted New England for a big contract in Phili.
So my only question if the Chargers don't go to the Super Bowl who's gonna stop them? The Colts wont and I'm beating the Patriots wont either.
Rudi Johnson: (Tatum) Bell Took My Luggage
"All this happened when he got released," Rudi said. "He came in to get some stuff out of his locker and that's when he scooped up the bags."
Johnson said a woman returned the bags to the practice facility Tuesday evening, but that the contents were gone.
"I got the bags back -- empty," he said. "So he's got a bunch of my underclothes. What he's going to do with that, I don't know. He's got some socks and boxers." [Read More]
Damn you know we're in a recession when NFL players are stealing Gucci bags from each other. DAMN! It's real in the field!!!

American Sports Media Racist? Ya Think?
Guest host of ESPN's popular sports talk show PTI: Pardon The Interruption Dan Le Batard said at 7:40 mark in the clip, that Baseball and the American Media are pretty much racist toward black players who struggle with drug related issues and overcome them, while at the same time they're constantly searching for some Great White Hope to put on a pedestal when one of the white players struggle with the same issues and overcome them. A year ago you would never hear an announcer on ESPN ever even attempt to say some shit this real as it pertains to race in America, they would just dance around the real issue as they're paid to do. As an avid ESPN watcher (hours upon hours a day) this is a reflection of the changing climate in America, with a Black President on the horizon the issue of race and racism in America can no longer be swept under the rug. More individuals in the media need to take a more honest and introspective look at their roles in perpetuating racial biased stories and images in the media, because as much as they'd like to let you think this, Don Imus is NOT the ONLY ONE.
The funniest part to me is how the other announcer we'll call him Confused White Man # 1, 230,043 tried to argue against this painfully obvious FACT. Citing that Le Batard's stance was too easy of a stance to take. Was it too easy of a stance to take because its too obvious???

Aren't You Glad The Lakers Didn't Listen To Kobe Bryant?
Fast forward to This Year. Bynum has a break-out year! And the Mavs trade the house for Jason Kidd and just minutes ago the Mavs were eliminated in the 1st round 3 games to 1 by the Hornets, who havent won a playoff series since 1998.
Todays Lesson?? Shut Up and Play Basketball Kobe!
Kobe Bryant great player
Awful evaluator of talent
But don't trip Kobe because Michael Jordan is just as awful at evaulating talent.....

Friday Night In The NBA
The first game we'll examine is The Lakers and The Hornets. The Lakers have played well against the Hornets all season, but yesterday was a different story. Laker Center Paul Gasol went down early in the first after rolling his ankle on teammate Radmanovic's foot. Gasol was helped off the court and diagnosed with an ankle sprain and would miss the rest of the game. Teammate Lamar Odom picked up the slack in the first half and the game was close going into half. But when the 3rd quarter rolled around the Lakers had trouble keeping the momentum rolling and MVP candidate Chris Paul took over! Paul ended the game with 27 points and 17 assists, Chandler grabbed 20 board and Kobe was his usual unstoppable self with 37 points. The Hornets are just coming off a Big win against the defending Champs the Spurs the other night (a beat down) and with this victory over the Lakers they look like a dangerous team going to playoffs.
LAKERS (45-20) 98 , HORNETS (44-20) 108
Another great match-up was The Detroit Pistons and The San Antonio Spurs, a rematch of the NBA finals a few years back (record low rating that year). 2 defensive teams slugging it out, The Spurs are coming of a 25 point beat down by The Hornets and were looking to bounce back against Detroit. But Detroit looking to prove they are still the team to beat in the East had their own plans for the defending Champs. In a defensive knock down drag it out game the Pistons were victorious and are just 3 wins a way from another 50 win season.
SPURS (44-21) 80, PISTONS (47-18) 84
The amazing Rockets, yeah I said it the Amazing record-setting Rockets went into Friday looking to do what only one other NBA team has ever done, win 21-straight games. And lucky for them they were going up against the struggling Bobcats. The Bobcasts have shown signs of life this season but at this point the red hot rockets were too much for them.
Tracy McGrady has 30 points as the Rockets rolled. This win ties them with Los Angeles at 45-20 and sets up a great match-up Sunday in Houston.
BOBCATS (24-41) 80, ROCKETS (45-20) 89
The Utah Jazz, a surprise team last year, who made it all the way to the Western Conference Finals are right in the thick of things in the tight West Playoff races this year. Friday they had a match up the Celtics. The Eastern Conference leading Celtic have already clinched a playoff birth by racking up an NBA best 51 wins and dropping only 13 games this season. The Celtics have dominated the west for most of the season but not tonight. A Utah team just a game or so out of first place in their division stepped into the TD Banknorth Garden Arena focused and with a game plan and they executed. You could just see it from tip off that this Utah team had something to prove in this game and Deron William, Carlos Boozer and company took it to the Owners of NBA's Best Record, ALL Night Long. Williams finished with 32 points and 8 assists and Boozer had a double double scoring 17 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Garnett did his numbers but Allen and Pierce really struggled both scoring under double digits, Allen left the game early after a fall in the 1st quarter resulting in a bruised heal.
UTAH (44-23) 110, CELTICS (51-13) 92
